Everything on this page comes from Valve’s own store data for app 4705510, read on 6 October 2026. Where a number can change — price, review totals — we say so rather than presenting it as permanent.

What the port adds over the browser version

The store page lists these additions by name:

  • A level browser with a “Select Date” feature, so you can dig into very old community levels.
  • Steam achievements and stats, including the full 80-achievement list.
  • Account linking, letting an old Happy Wheels web account connect to a Steam ID with automatic sign-in across devices.
  • Controller support.
  • Offline level downloads, stored in a separate list you can play without a connection.
  • No ads at all.

The store page also confirms that the game ships with access to more than 5 million user-created levels, and that the level editor is included.

What it does not change

The visuals and physics are the original game. The port is a re-release rather than a remake, and the store description is explicit that the game is “now (finally) available, ad-free, on Steam” rather than rebuilt. If you are expecting a graphical overhaul, there is not one.

Content rating and what is in the game

The developer’s own content description on the store page says:

“Satirical cartoon violence. Players control a ragdoll character through user-generated obstacle courses and may sustain exaggerated cartoon injuries such as dismemberment and bleeding. No sexual content.”

Germany’s rating is listed as 16. The store also notes the game includes interactive elements and online interactivity — that refers to sharing and browsing levels, not to multiplayer.

System requirements at a glance

Windows 10 64-bit or later, Intel Core i3 / AMD equivalent at 2.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM, a GPU with WebGL or DirectX 11 support (Intel HD Graphics 4000 or better), DirectX 11, 1 GB storage. Linux needs glibc 2.31 / Ubuntu 20.04.

Full detail, including what to do if it runs badly, is on the system requirements page.

Support and official channels

The store page’s support information lists the official Discord — that is the developer’s own support pointer, and it is the right place for bugs and account questions. It also lists a publisher support email for Steam-related problems.

There is no official Happy Wheels YouTube channel. If you see a channel presenting itself as official, it is not, and no trailer or announcement on such a channel should be treated as a developer statement.

Region and pricing caveat

This site is written from a USD reference price of USD 4.99. Regional pricing differs, and sales happen. Always check the store page for the current figure rather than trusting any number written here.
